I have a few images of our house ...
An old black and white photograph, a painting, and an aerial photo.
I believe the house was originally built in 1924.
It was a rather grand house at the time, as it was the Forest Managers home.

Can you believe that there is still SNOW on the ground?
And we thought we had a bad winter this year.
Here is the reverse of the photograph

Valfrid Blom? Idren? Erika Jernberg?
I believe these are the names of the people in the photograph
(Perhaps my Swedish friends can confirm for me please)

so interesting xx
ReplyDeleteYes, the writing is indeed names. It almost looks as if the person writing the names have written the surname Idren, and perhaps forgotten the firstname and left a space for it. But this is just how it appears to me.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful house and how wonderful and interesting that you know so much about its history.
That is so incredible to have all those treasures from such a magical place...Its so sweet!!
ReplyDeleteHow special with the old photo (where did you get it from - don't think you mentioned this photo to me before - if so my memory isn't good these days :-) Nice old painting too!!
