“See how nature - trees, flowers, grass - grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence...we need silence to be able to touch souls.”
~Mother Theresa of Calcutta~

ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, magical indeed!
ReplyDeleteHi Julie,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful sky to welcome you home. I had to laugh about your 'mild' temperature! We call -10 extremely cold in Holland!
Happy wednesday!
Lieve groet, Madelief
Hi Julie, Feel like making a wish when i see your moon pic, (will maybe stick to howling!) jennyx
ReplyDeleteHuge sigh...that`s me feeling all calm now! We had the same kind of sky yesterday,Julie. How spooky that at the same time as I was admiring it, you were taking a pic!Twins! I find walking in that kind of snow is equivalent to a workout! But then I`m vintage! x

Hi,
ReplyDeleteI found your blog today and I have just read the first posts about you buying and visiting your summer house for the first time, very interesting reading.
I also liked the Kate Kidston inspired kitchen.
Best Regards,
Frida
Hello there! I'm new around here but not new to loving vintage Swedish design. I live in Connecticut, U.S. and LOVE your blog.
ReplyDeleteYour home is exactly what I dream of building someday with my husband.
Such a cheery home! You've really done a beautiful job there in the face of obstacles!
I currently live in a 300 yr old farm home in Colonial New England and am infusing it with Swedish charm!
We have 20 chickens and a cow we should be able to milk within the year! This is all new to us, so we are learning alot along the way too. Looking forward to many post of yours and eye candy. I may start my own blog soon and we can share the fun! If you ever decide to visit the states please look us up. We are an hr outside NYC. Just far enough away to have a cow but close enough to go play.
I love your photos above and have been experimenting with my own New iphone.
We were closed in yesterday by snowy sleet and so I spent the day plowing through your blog entries and had so much fun and inspiration!
Because of your post I discovered Kurt Nilsen and the others he sings with. AWESOME!
Thanks for making my day!
Best to you, Sue Taylor. A new friend : )
That is breathtaking, you need to have those made into your Christmas cards next year....I have to go look again!!
ReplyDeleteWow. Beautiful poetry and beautiful scenery.
