Farow & Ball paints are simply the best!
I found this tester pot of Parma Gray 27 (quite blue) which had been brought over with us in the original move from London
Whilst I have been busily finishing off painting the kitchen cupboards, My Darling decided to keep me company and paint these...
These are now hanging in our youngest son's newly decorated bedroom
And these were delivered on Christmas Eve at 5pm
By Tomten (Father Christmas)
By Tomten (Father Christmas)
We live in the middle of nowhere...
My eldest son answers the door to Tomten and lets him in!
He looked quiet similar to this...

(I found this photo on our local Kommuns website ...the coat is identical...)
We were in shock...so we were unable to take a photograph
and it all happened so quickly
A Paper Potato Sack was slung over his back tied with string
We offer him a beer...he declines...too busy
He wishes us GOD JUL and we do the same
He leaves the sack on my kictchen floor
and departs
We watch from the window, as he walks up the drive and onto
the road, carrying a lantern to light the way, waving goodbye
Surreal!
These wonderful mounted horns were inside
Tack Sa Mycket Tomten!
Thank you so much Father Christmas

Oh what a lovely surprise! Love the paint colour!
ReplyDeleteI love to read your blog but I'm a little confused , do you live in your new home all the time or do you live in London as well. I imagined you lived in both places as you have talked of flights to London, but I've probably got it all wrong!
Hope you are having a lovely Sunday!

Tomten is a good one! All Christmas presents on Christmas Eve came from the Swedish Tomten and then when we celebrated the Aussie Xmas on Christmas Day the presents came from Santa. I convinced our 4y/o son that Tomten is better than Santa hahaha... ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe tea towel arrived today - Thank you :-)
Kram från ett otroligt regnigt Australien♥
What a magical story Julie - wonderful! :D
