At last! 18 boxes and a complete inventory for customs. It has taken me more than 3 weeks and several late nights to complete the task. Every time BIG J walks into the lounge, he exclaims 'oh no not more boxes! How are we going to get it all in the van?' He left work yesterday afternoon 11/04/08 and arrived home early with the Van at 2pm. First things first the roof bars had to be attached in order for the Canadian Kayak, (another boys toy purchased several weeks ago from Costco) to be carried on top of the Van. Then we began loading everything in, beside the boxes, we had a pine sideboard and dressing table, which we rescued from my brother and sister-in-law, a pine wardrobe/linen press from my cousin, a lawn mower, a chainsaw ( more boys toys) a double bed and mattress and 4 single beds. These being the main items, as well as odds n sods bits n bobs and of course the boxes...
BIG J arrived at Tilbury Port at 2pm this afternoon 12/04/08 and the freight boat set sail at 4 pm sharp, going up the Thames to Corrington and out into the North Sea. We spoke several times this afternoon and finally at 8.45 pm. No mobile Signal now until he reaches the Danish/Swedish Coastline which will be early hours Monday morning...
