Well this time it was an ADULTS ONLY weekend.
Escaped last Friday 26 September arrived back Monday 10pm.
H-R said that they were abandoned and felt like orphans like the Bordelaise children from Lemony Snickett. (She's always been good at drama). No actually they all had a brill weekend the boys farmed out between both sets of grandparents spoilt rotten and H-R home-alone 'doing her thing'.
The forest at this time of year is stunning. The changing colours of the leaveson the trees, gusty winds and adventurous wild walks along the river, awe inspiring. Our little Swedish House is lovely... We went the same time last year, but we hadn't moved in we were staying at the local Hotel. However, this time it was just perfect with candles all alight and the woodburner roaring. On the last night the temperature dropped to -1.

BIG J worked hard renewing all the gutters on the porch and roof of the house. Unfortunately, I cant have my ikea kitchen just yet, but I dont mind the 50/60's kitsch kitchen is growing on me, but not the canary yellow colour. So I spent the 2 days painting the cupboards with Cath

Kidston Larder Blue gloss paint . Soo now I have a Kitsch Swedish Kitchen,
aka Cath Kidston Style lol!
Busy making plans to spend our 1st Christmas in the house, flights to book, 4WD vehicle to hire (not easy) and a Snowmobil TO BUY! (Now you know why no kitchen:( ). We have spent many Christmas's in Sweden on previous ski-ing hols and loved them. But it will be very exciting to be in our own house, with a Christmas tree, cut from our own garden i.e. the forest!
